Visitors are welcomed to the old thatched House, parts of which date from the early seventeenth century. Here you find a comfortable reception, library, drawing room and a beamed dining room with an inglenook fire place. Upstairs we have quirky bedrooms and prayer and study rooms.
A modern block, including bedrooms and a large conference room, was built during the 1960s and recently this has been extended to include a purpose built suite for people with reduced mobility or using a wheelchair.
On the other side of the old House a striking Chapel was built with a large clear window giving those inside the Chapel a sense of being in the beautiful gardens.
People come to Holland House as individuals on private retreat, to study or simply for ‘time-out’, in groups for meetings, retreats, small conferences, yoga, creative arts activities, meditation or simply to spend time together.
The Holland House programme includes day and residential retreats and activities which all are welcome to attend. You can book for these online or contact the House for more details.
The facilities are flexible and we seek to meet the particular needs of different individuals and groups as well as enabling them to experience something of the ethos of Holland House.
If you would like to come as an individual or to bring a group of people you will find more information about the accommodation, food and the garden on other pages. Please contact us to find out more and discuss your visit.
