I’m Kay Mason the founder of Create Church – Sanctuary Arts Community based in Worcestershire.
Create is a wonderful Art Ministry that connect us to our Creative God and it’s my passion.
Create Art Ministry, gives time and space, to be still from the business of everyday of life. Create Art Ministry uses Christian Mindfulness, Relaxation and Art Therapy to do just that, using art materials to connect us to God, his peace and love!
At Create Art Ministry Retreats, at Holland House there will a variety of art materials. All art materials are available for you, to playfully create with, and your own scrapbook is in included in your first session, to keep all your work. Your creativity is not about the outcome but the process and listening to God.
I show you one of my favourite spiritual and creative practices–using a single word of Scripture to start a conversation with God. This practice is called lectio divina–divine or sacred reading. Lectio Divina has four parts: Lectio, Meditatio, Oratio, and Contemplatio. My version of lectio divina involves doodling (of course). I will demonstrate the whole practice.
After lunch, you can continue being creative or enjoy the gardens, or both.
All are welcome, of any age and ability, and you will leave feeling better than when you came!
This course is for a full day in a small group from 10am -4pm and includes a two-course lunch and refreshments.
Please note that Holland House does not provide a choice menu at meal times and it is therefore very important that you note any food types that you are unable to eat due to an allergy or you can advise of a dietary preference of vegetarian, pescatarian, dairy free, gluten free or vegan.
