Description
Prince George and Master Frederick with Rosalind Freeborn
Rosalind is the author of a novel, with the same title. It is about a real person, Frederick Blomberg, who was, she has discovered, the secret firstborn son of King George III, and who was adopted into the royal family in 1765 and brought up as a prince at Richmond and Kew. He became best friends with Prince George, future regent and King George IV, and stayed in close contact with the royal family throughout his life. The book is about the enduring relationship between these two boys as they grow up together and then pursue very different paths. Her talk will showcase people, places and events which bring the story to life.
This is a joint Holland House/Evesham Festival of Words event.
