Are you interested in learning and understanding more about how and why you relate the way you do to yourself, to others and to the wider world? Do you find yourself often caught in some old, familiar and sometimes unhelpful patterns in your interpersonal relationships?
Come and explore these themes and more with Jane Tillier and Geoff Hopping, who are experienced Transactional Analysis (TA) trainers and UKCP-registered psychotherapists with a special interest in the interplay between psychological models and spirituality.
TA101
The ‘TA101’ is the internationally-recognised and certificated 12-hour introduction to the foundational ideas and models of Transactional Analysis. TA is a way of thinking about our personality and our capacity for interaction with others and with our wider environment. Its primary models were formulated by psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Eric Berne as part of the new wave of therapies that emerged in the 1960s and 1970s in the USA and Europe. It has been widely popularised in the ‘I’m OK, you’re OK’ slogan and in ways of working with what some people call the ‘inner child’. TA can be applied not only in psychotherapy but also as a way of resourcing personal development in the fields of education, counselling and organisational dynamics.
