Advent study day, led by Dr Andrew Hayes and Helen Stanton.
The Feast of the Incarnation: God becomes human so that human beings might share the life of the divine.
How did the Christian church develop its understanding of the Incarnation, which we celebrate especially at Christmas, but throughout the year. What does it mean that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and how does this relate to God’s saving purposes?
This day will be led by Andrew Hayes, Lay Ministry Enabler in the Diocese of Oxford, and former Director of the Centre for Discipleship and Theology, at the Queen’s Foundation, Birmingham, and Helen Stanton, Warden of Holland House, and former tutor in doctrine at the Queen’s Foundation.
The day will consist of input, discussion and space for reflection and prayer.
10am to 4pm and includes a vegetarian lunch and refreshments.
Please note that Holland House does not provide a choice menu at meal times and it is therefore very important that you note any food types that you are unable to eat due to an allergy or you can advise of a dietary preference of vegetarian, pescatarian, dairy free, gluten free or vegan.
