Description
This is a silent retreat for those who offer the ministry of spiritual accompaniment. The aim is to provide space for those who offer this, often hidden, ministry to draw more deeply upon God’s presence, to find inspiration, encouragement and renewal.
In the light of Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well described in John 4, we will reflect on aspects of the dynamic of spiritual accompaniment:
• on the threshold;
• receiving hospitality;
• discerning listening;
• deepening; holding focus,
• finding poise;
• sustained
• personal encounter.
The intention is to provide a space that is simply for us and our relationship with God and enable deeper engagement offering focus to notice God with us in these aspects of the story and our spiritual accompaniment. There will be short inputs, ways of prayer and reflection offered and plenty of space for being, for meandering, for listening to the Spirit. There will also be opportunities for one to one sessions with the retreat leader.
Arrivals from 4pm on Monday 26th (retreat starts at 5pm) and concludes with tea and cake at 4pm on Wednesday 28th. Cost includes all meals, refreshments and accommodation
